The MOPs group meet.
Our theme for 2008 is "the HOME factor" which explores how to make a great home and build the relationships in it. Carers are urgently needed to help with childcare.

Re-Charge, the Kids Ministry Conference is being held on Saturday, July 26 at Figtree Anglican church. I encourage all those involved in Children’s Ministry to attend. The cost with a group booking is $60 each. Please see Deb Burford for more information or to put your name down to go.

We invite you to join us on a journey of worship to the heart of God. Tuesday, August 5th, 7.30-9.30pm. We meet in the conference room and enjoy worship and a cuppa together.

MOPS is a great opportunity to minister to mothers with young children and learn from each other about relevant parenting topics. Also included is morning tea for you and your children, craft, 2 hours of child minding and occasional speakers and prizes. Please contact the Church office on 4226-5022 if you are available to be a MOPS carer.

Why do so many contradictions exist in our lives? Everyone needs to understand the power of our internal cry for acceptance, value and belonging. Everyone needs to understand the cause of our most basic struggles and find a solution to them.
Without insight and answers to the human dilemma individuals resort to inadequate and destructive patterns of behaviour to address feelings of low self esteem, inadequacy, emptiness and insecurity. This program identifies the cause of so many human tensions and introduces participants to the healing power of truth in a caring and safe environment. Search for Life is also a requisite for leadership development in the life of our church.
Dates & Times: Saturday 10th August, 3 sessions, 9am – 4pm.
Followed by 7 Tuesday evening sessions commencing 12th August – 23rd September, 7.30 – 9.30pm.
Attendance of Saturday sessions essential.
Venue: O’Briens Rd, Figtree
Cost: $60, includes manual.

We will be running a celebration service for our Southern Campus. It will be a very special service where we will commission, and send our Southern brothers and sisters out as a church in their own right. Though we separate constitutionally, we won’t be separating relationally, and look forward to many years working together for this great region. So, come next Sunday night to praise God for all he has done, and will do for his glory through the Southern Illawarra Church of Christ.

You don't have to be Fifty (50) to come to Fifty Plus. This is a special show to hear the acapella group 'the Illawarra Chordialities.' While you are at the show, help support the World Changer's mission trip to the Philippines in October.
On sale will be Arts and Crafts, from Lemon Butter to hand made soaps - craft of all types on show and for sale. All are welcome. Please RSVP by phoning Danielle on 4226-5022 by August 15th.
